Comments Policy

Discussion is encouraged… especially for game recaps and opinion-based articles (predictions, playoff races, etc.). We approve almost every comment submitted so please comment at will.

We do ask that you comment in a light-hearted, friendly manner. It is fun to debate high school sports–that is part of the reason we started this site. Attacks and insults about players (remember: these are high school athletes), coaches, parents, and other commenters will not be approved.

Acceptable examples:

  • “Did you see John Smith’s alleged steal of second base? He was clearly out.” (Debating calls is acceptable.)
  • “Team X’s schedule has been brutal this year. They are without a doubt in my mind the best team so far this season, regardless of win-loss record.” (Debating schedules/quality of teams is acceptable.)
  • “The defense looked lost out there every time Team X ran a running play. Tackling needs to emphasized in practice before the next game.” (Debating aspects of a team’s play is acceptable. Please do not attack individual players.)

If you feel any comments should be taken down, please email Trey Peiffer (trey – @ – vermontscoreboard.com) or use the contact form above.
