About Vermont Scoreboard

Vermont Scoreboard was founded in Spring 2010 with one goal: Become a one stop outlet for Vermont high school sports. We aim to guide you through each high school sports season with news, scores, and photos. This website is updated daily and features the following:

  • Complete coverage of 3-4 high school sporting events a week (photos, game recap, post-game comments from coaches and players)
  • A central area to view high school scores and schedules from around Chittenden County and Vermont
  • Analysis of high school teams, playoff races, athletes
  • Full coverage of high school playoffs
  • Features on teams/coaches/athletes connected to Vermont
  • Blogs and commentary from our staff
  • Check-ins on other Vermont sports (notably UVM Men’s Basketball)

Staff Bios

TREY PEIFFER founded Vermont Scoreboard in Spring 2010. “I always felt local sports, especially high school sports, were under-reported and needed to be in the spotlight.” Trey, a resident of Vermont since 1995, graduated from South Burlington High School in 2003 and currently lives in Burlington. A member of the Vermont Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association, Trey was awarded the 2010-2011 Media Award from the Vermont Basketball Coaches Association. Trey is a substitute teacher in the town of Shelburne, VT and also works at The Inn at Shelburne Farms.

Shane BufanoSHANE BUFANO has contributed to Vermont Scoreboard since day one. Shane is a life-long resident of Vermont and a 2004 graduate of Champlain Valley Union High School. He attended college at Green Mountain College and played soccer and tennis for the school. He runs his own photography business and has a passion for photographing sporting events. Shane was married in the summer of 2010 and lives in the town of South Burlington, VT.
