
The Middlebury boys hockey team started their season off with a 4-1 win over South Burlington Wednesday night. The Tigers won the Division II title last year but have moved up to Division I for this season.

Middlebury (1-0) was powered by Timmy Shea, Graham Barlow, and Colin Babcock who each finished with a goal and two assists. Keenan Bartlett also scored for the Tigers while Ryan Crowningshield was credited with an assist.
Junior Tommy Royer scored for South Burlington (1-1). Matt Leonard and Dan Gluck assisted on the second period goal.
Nick Bruch stopped 22 shots for Middlebury. South Burlington’s Nathaniel Young made 12 saves.
Middlebury next plays Friday night at South Glens Falls, New York. South Burlington is at Spaulding on Saturday.
