Sawyer DeVries’s five goals powered #6 seed Burr & Burton past #3 seed Rice 11-10 in a Division II girls lacrosse semi-final. Piper Ferrone and Brooke Sabol each added two goals for the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs led 6-4 at halftime but allowed Rice to tie the game at 8-8 with 7:53 remaining. The two teams then ended regulation knotted at 9-9. BBA took a one goal lead in the first half of overtime while each team scored a goal in the second halff.
Kasey Flynn finished with a hat trick and an assist for Rice. Kathryn Ranaldo and Gretchen Tarrant each scored twice for the Green Knights.
Kelsey Towslee stopped ten shots for Burr & Burton. Sarah Till finished with 14 saves for Rice
