Rice Tops Colchester 10-6

Harry Foreman scored a goal along with four assists to help Rice boys lacrosse beat Colchester 10-6.

After playing to a 6-6 tie through three quarters, the Rice boys lacrosse team outscored Colchester 4-0 in the fourth quarter and picked up a 10-6 win in the regular season finale for both teams. The game was played at UVM’s Moulton-Winder Field.

Rice (14-1) seniors David Sartorelli and Mac Yandow each tallied four goals. Sartorelli also assisted on three goals. Junior Harry Foreman added a goal along with a team-high four assists for the Green Knights. Brendan Malone also scored an early goal for Rice.

Colchester (6-7) was tied with Rice 2-2 at the half as well as 6-6. Josh Gervais led the Lakers with two goals and an assist. Henry Butler and Brady Corriganeach tallied a goal and an assist.

Mike Flynn finished with five saves for Rice. Cory Warner had ten saves for Colchester.

Rice will most likely finish with the top seed in Division II when pairings are announced on Tuesday.
