
U-32 Girls Hockey opens season with 5-0 shutout of Rice
Tuesday afternoon, the U-32 Girls Hockey team beat Rice 5-0. The game at Cairns arena was the first of the season for both squads. Senior Katie Kreis had two goals in the game. Esther Peterson finished with a goal and an assist.
After a scoreless first period for both teams, the Raiders scored three times in the second to take the lead. U-32 added two more goals in the third period.
Senior goalie Ashley Vincent saved five shots for U-32. Rice sophomore Addison Stillman stopped a whopping 53 Raider shots.
Rice travels to North Country on Saturday for their next game. U-32 returns home to play Northfield in the Dr Butsch Tournament on Friday night.
