Casey Harman Drafted In MLB Draft

Former South Burlington High School standout Casey Harman was drafted today in the Major League Baseball Draft in the 29th round by the Chicago Cubs.  The left handed ace of the Clemson staff was picked #880.  The junior, will still have one year of eligibility at Clemson and can choose not to sign with the Cubs.  His Clemson Tigers recently advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals after defeating Auburn 13-7.  Harman has pitched well for the Tigers who are currently ranked #16 in the nation.  The former South Burlington Rebel has started 16 games this season for Clemson and has a 7-2 record.  In his 100.1 innings he has collected 83 strikeouts while compiling a 3.96 ERA.  Harman will continue his season on Saturday at 6:00pm against Alabama in the NCAA Super Regional.
